| | | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | Some time ago it was noticed that the existing wood trellises located at the Ocean Mall Beach were in poor condition due to severe wood rot and needed to be replaced. The replacement of the trellises needs to be done not only for aesthetic purposes, but also due to the hazard that they present if they were to fail structurally. The City’s Purchasing Department solicited contractors for the replacement of the trellises through the issuance of Bid #566-15.
Bid #566-15 was issued on December 23, 2015 by the City’s Purchasing Department and ARZ Builders, Inc. was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a total cost of $385,000.
Based on the bid results, staff requests City Council approval the contract with ARZ Builders, Inc. to provide construction services for the removal and replacement of four (4) existing trellises at the Ocean Mall Beach. |
