Background/Summary: 

Public input is vital to the growth and success of a Parks and Recreation system. Pursuant to Chapter 2, Article III of the City's Code and Ordinances, a Recreation Advisory Board has been established. The Recreation Advisory board has not been active for a while.

 

Staff wishes to seat a Board as soon as possible. The first step is to advertise for applicants. Once applications are received, they will be presented to Council for selection of 7 members

 

Once the Board is seated the By-laws will be reviewed and any recommend amendments will be presented to Council for approval.
