Background/Summary: 

ALCALDE & FAY, LTD, WHO CURRENTLY REPRESENTS THE CITY AS ITS FEDERAL LOBBYISTS,  TWO (2) YEAR AGREEMENT EXPIRES ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2016.  THE CITY COUNCIL DESIRES TO CONTINUE TO RETAIN THE SERVICES OF ALCALDE & FAY, LTD FOR AN ADDITIONAL TWO (2) YEARS COMMENCING ON OCTOBER 1, 2016 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2018.

ALCALDE & FAY, LTD ADVOCATES FOR THE CITY'S FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES AND PROJECTS.  WITH THE CITY'S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, PUBLIC SAFETY AND OTHER COMMUNITY INITIATIVES, ALCALDE & FAY, LTD ARE FOCUSED ON LOBBYING IN SUPPORT OF FEDERAL PROGRAMS TO BENEFIT THESE AREAS FOR THE CITY, INCLUDING, NEW MARKET TAX CREDITS, BODY WORN CAMERA RESOURCES, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING, AS WELL AS, PROTECTING TAX FEE MUNICIPAL BONDING, AMONG NUMEROUS OTHER ISSUE AREAS IMPACTING THE CITY.  ALCALDE & FAY, LTD REMAIN COMMITTED TO KEEPING THE CITY FULLY APPRISED OF RELEVANT CONGRESSIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION, AS WELL AS, GRANT OPPORTUNITIES AND OTHER TECHNICAL RESOURCES THROUGH ITS LEGISLATIVE NOTIFICATIONS AND GRANT ALERTS.  MOREOVER, ALCALDE & FAY, LTD GRANT TEAM IS PLEASED TO ASSIST IN THE REVIEW OF THE CITY'S VARIOUS GRANT APPLICATIONS, AS WELL AS, SECURING LETTERS FROM MEMBERS OF CONGRESS TO POSITION THE CITY'S SUBMISSIONS AS COMPETITIVELY AS POSSIBLE.
