| | | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | | The State of Florida Department of Juvenile Justice and the Youth Empowerment initiated a partnership to establish the first State of Florida ERC (Evening Reporting Center) in Riviera Beach to provide after-school/evening pro-social skills, education, recreation, skill building activities to youth ages 11-17 (with low to moderate risk) are referred by juvenile court judges of Palm Beach County; these youth are referred to ERC/YEP to receive services for (21) days unless otherwise directed by the courts. State of Florida Department of Juvenile Justice provided a grant to Youth Empowerment in the amount of $89,997 in 2016; an has been approved to extend funds through 2017.
