Background/Summary: 

The Utility Special District received a request from Palm Beach County to provide utility relocation plans as the County is in the process of a roadway expansion project on Haverhill Road. 

 

This Joint Project Participation/Funding Agreement for the design of a proposed utility force main for Haverhill Road from North of Caribbean Boulevard to SR 710 roadway and drainage improvements.  The Utility District intends to design and construct a 16" Force Main and connecting to the 20" existing Force Main along Haverhill Road within the project limits.  The County intends to widen Haverhill Road from north of Caribbean Blvd to SR 710.

 

USD and the City do not have a design consultant that specializes in this field.  Since the timeframe for a redundant force main is tied to the County's roadway expansion, it would be best served to utilize the team that the County has selected to maintain continuity of construction.  The County utilized a CCNA solicitation to select R.J. Behar. 

 

The Project is included in the FY17-FY21 Capital Improvement Plan. The cost is estimated to be $47,735.25.
