Background/Summary: 

The City is required to hold two public hearings on the millage and budget. The millage rate that is being considered for FY17 is 8.4520 mills, which is 8.46% higher than the rolled back rate of   7.7929. 

 

The reason for the increase is as follows:  new positions - $681,091

                                                                    health insurance increase - $937,939

                                                                    wage increases - $1.7M
