| | | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | | The City's Youth Empowerment Teen Program was established in 2007, with the goal of providing a positive environment for youth development through education, culture, mentoring, skill building, life skills, and evidence based intervention/prevention programming that are designed to entice youth minds to become hungry for success. The program focuses on promoting youth education through individual/group tutoring, ACT/SAT strategies preparation, FSA/FCAT strategies, and school advocacy, health/self awareness classes, life skills, economic development, skill building/entrepreneurship, leadership and apprenticeship/employability programming. to empower youth and young adults to be the essence of greatness by creating gateways for social, emotional, physical, financial, and mental permanence. |
