T. E.A.M. Elam Foundation, Inc. founded in Jun 2008 y former NFL player Abram Elam. Elam has recently partnered with his brother Matt Elam of the Baltimore Ravens in an effort to expand the Foundation’s mission to educate and enable at-risk youth. The Foundation is deemed as one of Elam’s greatest accomplishments and representative of an establishment who desires to continually serve youth impacted by the effects of living in impoverished communities.
The foundation was constructed by Elam as a way not only to give back to his community, but to help combat violence and negative influences by exposing youth to an array of positive influences, providing a sense of empowerment by equipping them with important life skills and knowledge through pertinent programs such as financial literacy, physical fitness, mentoring, back to school drives, as well as tutoring and various community events.
This year T.E.A.M Elam Foundation will host a Football and Cheer camp on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Wells Recreation Community Center. This event will include interacting with NFL players, football and cheer conditioning, reading oasis and spelling bee. It will also include resources to motivate and educate the community about the importance of collaboration, family involvement, and unity.
