| | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | Based on history requiring the need for emergency on-call services, including underground services, it became apparent that the USD has a strong requirement for a vendor to provide these emergency on-call services (i.e., broken water/sewer mains). Services include assistance in emergency repairs and large scale repair projects. D.S. Eakins is a current vendor for Palm Beach County. Their contract amendment was recently renewed in September 1, 2015. They were selected based upon the level of service provided and the economical pricing they offered. By piggy-backing on a contract with a larger municipal organization, we receive preferred/more economical pricing. Staff recommends approval of a piggy-back contract to D.S. Eakins Construction Corp. This will allow continued efficient operation of the Utility District's Water Distribution and Sewer Collection Systems. |
