- A High Availability Internet solution that protects the City from Internet downtime.
On July 15, 2015 the City approved Resolution 89-15 adopting an Information Technology Strategic Master Plan (Master Plan). The Master Plan recommended an additional commercial-grade, dedicated broadband service and a High Availability solution. The Purchasing Division went through the process of benchmarking the pricing for a Public Safety Solution providing proper comparison to the market so the City is assured the best pricing. It has been determined that a commercial-grade through AT&T, dedicated broadband service which will include an upgrade to a higher bandwidth (speed) of 100 MB or higher provides the best value.
The FatPipe network solution costs $147,003.95. The managed internet will cost $2,252/month.
