Background/Summary: 

Mayor Thomas Masters established the Riviera Beach Mayor's Office of Veteran Affairs (MOVA) in 2012 to support veterans and organizations that assist former fellow military personnel in the City of Riviera Beach and throughout Palm Beach County. MOVA is one of only five such operations functioning inside mayors' offices across the U.S. with veterans serving veterans. Vet's Place is a non-profit organization that is providing supportive services include, but are not limited to case management; VA claims; public benefits; computer training; employment and  housing assistance.  

According to the Tomas T. Coles-Reyes, President, all of the veterans receiving outreach services are from Riviera Beach.
