The  Mayor appoints Riviera Beach residents in different categories to the Board of Commissioners for the Riviera Beach Housing Authority.  He recommends staggering the terms of service to ensure full representation throughout the mayor's next three (3) year term, ending March 31, 2019.  The staggered terms allow for continuity on the Board with all expirations scheduled for the end of each month in March, April and May of 2019.  Based on the applications and resumes attached, the Mayor is making the following appointments: 

1) Jessica Thurmond, will serve two (2) years, ending May 30, 2018. Ms. Thurmond will serve as the Resident Commissioner of Riviera Beach Housing Authority. She participates in the West Palm Beach Housing Authority Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) which qualifies her application for Appointment as the Resident Commissioner, per Florida Sate Statute and Public Housing Regulations.

2) Delvin Thomas, current Vice Chairman whose term expired January 18, 2017. At the expiration of his current term Mr. Thomas may submit another application for Re-appointment for another term not to exceed March 31, 2019.

3) Rance Gaede, Riviera Beach resident resides in Thousand Oaks Sub-division is requesting a one (1) year Appointment, until April 30, 2017.
