Background/Summary: 

In March 2016, the Riviera Beach Police Department purchased three (3) German Shepherd Police K-9 dogs from Canine Extreme.

 

K-9 Perez is a bi-color German Shepherd male born September 2, 2014. Perez's partner/handler is Officer Javares Hawkins.

 

K-9 Gin is a bi-color German Shepherd male born October 11, 2014.  Gin's partner/handler is Officer John Vanderlaan.

 

K-9 Millow is a sable German Shepherd male born October 6, 2013.  Milow's partner/handler is Officer William Louden.

 

Police Department staff will introduce the new K-9s and their partner/handlers to the City Council and the community.

 

On June 1, 2016, Certification Trials took place in Riviera Beach. All Riviera Beach Police Department K-9s and Handlers met all necessary requirements and are Florida State Certified.
