| | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | The current bargaining agreement between the City and PMSA expires September 30, 2016. The wage article of the agreement, Article 27, Section 1 agrees for a wage reopener in FY 2015/2016, should the City's ad valorem assessment valuation increase by 4.5% for both FYS 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. The City's ad valorem assessment valuation increased above 4.5% for both fiscal years. Therefore, the City commenced negotiations with PMSA on September 29, 2015 to negotiate above the 3% in the current labor agreements. The City and PMSA held three (3) negotiations sessions with a tentative agreement of a 2% increase in base pay for all bargaining unit members effective October 1, 2015. This agreement provides PMSA with a total of a 5% increase in base pay effective October 1, 2015.
The members of PMSA ratified the MOU on March 7, 2016.
All other articles of the contract remain the same. |
