Recommendation/Motion: The Fire Pension Board is recommending that City Council approves the re- appointment of Mr. Bobbie Brooks or appoint a member to serve on the Fire Pension Board.

Background/Summary: 
The term of office for Fire Pension Board member Mr. Bobbie Brooks, Jr.  expired February 2016.  The Fire Pension Board is recommending the City Council to re-appoint Mr. Brooks for a term of four (4) years.   
 
Attached is a letter from Ms. Denise McNeil, Pension Administrator requesting the re-appointment of Mr. Bobbie Brooks, Jr. to the Fire Pension Board.  Also attached is an email detailing Mr. Brooks' attendance for the past two years which indicates that he has attended every meeting of the last eleven (11) meetings. 
 
Mr. Brooks has submitted a letter to City Council requesting re-appointment along with his Advisory Board Application.  Mr. Brooks has met all the requirements for His board certification. 
 
The Fire Pension Board meets quarterly at 4:30 p.m. in the Fire Training Room located near City Hall. A copy of the duties and responsibilities and composition of the existing board member list are included with this package.
