Recommendation/Motion:

It is recommended that the City of Riviera Beach access the City of Jacksonville Contract P-14-13 with Life Scan Wellness Centers.

Background/Summary:

Pursuant to Article 11 of the Firefighter Collective Bargaining Agreement, the City shall provide physical examinations every two years for employees with five years of service to include blood test, stress test, chest x-ray, drug test and other medical protocols.

Research was completed by the Purchasing Division as to contract options. The City of Jacksonville had a contract in place for their firefighters which meets the needs of the City at a best value. Comparable review of other price structures reflected the piggyback option for the City was the best procurement method which would meet all requirements of the Fire Department Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Performance of this agreement will be on location in the City.
