| | | | | | | | | Background/Summary: | | The first seeds and seedlings for the Children's Prosperity Garden project was planted on November 8, 2014. On that day, the children also created an art project and named the garden the "Children's Prosperity Garden". The tomatoes, peppers, collard greens, kale , and marigolds have continued to nourish the body and the soul of the children as they come over several times a week to work in the garden under the leadership of Master Gardeners, Rev. Henry Saulter and Mr. Bruce Herring. After a year of successful operation, they are ready to begin Phase II. This donation will assist with the purchase of tools, seeds, mulch and to add a brick walkway and a simple arbor. |
